Epistemic Engineering Platform

We are thrilled to announce a new institutional partnership that marks a major milestone for the LEGACY platform: INRIA (the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) Almanach Team is joining the project!

This partnership will support the development of LEGACY’s HRT tools, especially those related to transcription of classical texts. INRIA will bring its cutting-edge expertise to help build a platform that’s not only a library—but an intelligent map of ideas.

The collaboration will focus coordinating an effort to transcribe seminal texts with the e-scriptorium tool hosted at INRIA.

This partnership aligns perfectly with the LEGACY mission: using modern tools to revisit, connect, and reanimate classical knowledge. It also represents an important step in building the first open infrastructure dedicated to the digital humanities in Africa and the Arab world, powered by local and international cooperation.
