Epistemic Engineering Platform

This is the official launch of the LEGACY AI Library, a next-generation platform dedicated to the exploration and analysis of classic texts using cutting-edge tools in AI and data visualization !

Born from years of development in epistemic engineering and open knowledge, LEGACY emerges from the evolution of the PEERS project and is now a standalone platform at the heart of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) at UM6P. It is part of a visionary collaboration with Aix-Marseille Université, University of Chicago, Columbia CCCT, and several expert networks around the world.

LEGACY is a platform where you can read, explore, and connect the world’s most influential philosophical and scientific texts. But beyond access, it offers a deep networked experience of these works. You can:

• Browse and search a curated library of seminal texts.
• Upload your own editions of classic works.
• Visualize connections between authors, schools of thought, and historical moments via graph-based exploration.
• Engage with projects like Knowledge Tree (academic genealogy of philosophical thought) and La Grande Conversation (textual hyperlinking between major works).
